Daye Mist Tea
Refers to the “Mist Tea” produced at the Taipojian Tea Farm located in the northern mountainous region of the Mufu Mountain Range. The Taipojian Tea Farm is a renowned high-altitude tea farm in southeastern Hubei. The area boasts fertile soil, gently sloping high mountains, year-round abundant rainfall, and persistent cloud cover—offering ideal natural conditions for producing premium-quality tea. Its “Mist Tea” is celebrated both within and beyond the province for being free from pests and pollution, and for its pure, refreshing taste, winning favor among a wide range of consumers. The tea is made from tender buds picked at elevations above 300 meters on Longjiao Mountain and processed by hand to remove impurities. It can rival the quality of Taipojian Tea, with an annual production of 2 tons that has potential for scaled-up production. In 1996, “Bijian Mist Tea” won the gold award at the first Hubei Provincial “E Tea Cup” Premium Tea Quality Competition. Established in 1973, the Taipojian Tea Farm currently has 3,000 square meters of factory buildings, over 10 sets of various tea processing machines, 20 permanent employees, and 8 technical staff. The farm covers an area of 66 mu. It offers 12 varieties including Biluochun, Longjing, and Maojian. Tea production has advanced along the path of high product quality, diverse varieties, and exquisite packaging, with output increasing year by year and benefits steadily improving.
