【Angora Rabbits】 The breeding of Angora rabbits in Yinan County has a history of over 20 years. In 1966, the county's supply and marketing department introduced 2,000

Chinese Angora rabbits from Zhejiang Province, and the industry gradually developed. By 1978, the rabbit population had grown to 490,000, and by 1982, it had increased to 1 million, with an annual output of 252,600 jin of rabbit hair.

The Chinese Angora rabbit was gradually bred through crossbreeding between British and French Angora rabbits, followed by further crosses with local rabbit breeds. Its characteristics include fast growth,

large size, and robust health. A young rabbit matures within a year, and adult rabbits typically weigh between 3.5 to 4 kilograms, with strong disease resistance. They have high wool yield—

each Angora rabbit can produce 150–250 grams of wool per clip, and can be clipped four times a year. The fur is dense, of high quality, wavy in texture, and not prone to tangling.

They also have strong reproductive capabilities and can breed all year round, producing one litter per month, with around six kits per litter, sometimes up to more than ten.

Kits born in spring and autumn have higher survival rates, better development, and stronger vitality.
