　　Mengshan Honey is primarily honey produced by bees that gather nectar from flowering plants in the Mengshan Mountain range. The region has a long history of beekeeping and honey production, offering varieties such as acacia honey, vitex honey, wildflower honey, and jujube honey. Known for its golden color, creamy consistency, sweet and pure taste, and being clean with no impurities, it is considered a premium quality honey. “Currently, Mengshan Honey has over ten brands including ‘Gong’s,’ ‘Yimeng Bee Harvest,’ ‘Yimeng Honey Workshop,’ and ‘Mengyuan.’ Its products sell well across China, with a significant portion exported to Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, and the European Union.

　　Geographical Scope

　　Mengshan Honey is produced in the Mengshan Mountain range in Linyi City, Shandong Province. Its geographical coordinates lie between 35°02′–36°02′ north latitude and 117°36′–118°25′ east longitude. It stretches 70 kilometers from north to south and 60 kilometers from east to west, covering a total production area of approximately 200,000 hectares. It mainly involves most of Mengyin County around Mengshan, as well as parts of Pingyi County, Feixian County, Yinan County, and Lanshan District.

　　1. External Sensory Characteristics: Mengshan Honey possesses the natural qualities of local pollution-free honey. It is of normal quality, non-fermented, with a golden or light golden-yellow color, creamy consistency, sweet and pure taste, and is clean with no impurities. 2. Internal Quality Indicators: Reducing sugars ≥70%, sucrose ≤9%, moisture <13%, ash content <0.1%. Mengshan Honey is fragrant, sweet, and nourishing, offering the health benefits of honey such as clearing heat, tonifying the middle, detoxifying, moisturizing dryness, and astringency. 3. Safety Requirements: The production environment of Mengshan Honey is superior with no pollution, and it has high medicinal value, making it safe for human consumption. The product quality complies with the Food Hygiene Law of the People's Republic of China, the Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, and related standards.
