Laiwu Three Spices
Laiwu Three Spices—ginger, garlic, and scallions—are renowned both in China and abroad. Laiwu ginger and garlic, along with their processed products, have been awarded the title of “Green Food.” These products are exported to more than twenty regions and countries, including all parts of China, Japan, South Korea, the United States, and Southeast Asia, and are highly favored by merchants both domestically and internationally.
Laiwu ginger has a cultivation history of over two thousand years and was once a tribute to the imperial court during feudal times. Known for its large, plump rhizomes, thin skin, minimal fibers, rich spiciness, delicious taste, and vibrant color, Laiwu ginger is also rich in various vitamins. It is not only a delicious ingredient but also a health food. There’s a local saying: “Eat ginger in winter and summer, and you won’t need a doctor’s prescription.” Laiwu white-skinned garlic features large cloves, high yield, fine texture, and an aromatic spiciness, offering disease-prevention and health benefits. Laiwu chicken-leg scallions are a staple seasoning in cooking—“When eating Shandong cuisine, every dish is incomplete without Laiwu scallions.”
