Yu County Tribute Rice is one of China’s “Four Famous Tribute Rices” historically offered to the imperial court through successive dynasties. Grown and produced in Yu County, Hebei Province, under unique local soil, water, and climatic conditions, and processed using traditional techniques, this rice is rich in a variety of nutrients such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, vitamins, and more. Compared to regular rice, it has 1.5 times the protein, 6 times the fat, 1.5 times the vitamin B1, 1 time the vitamin B2, and 6 times the crude fiber. It also contains abundant amino acids, especially essential ones like tryptophan and arginine, both of which are higher in content than in other grains. As a result, it makes an excellent nutritional food for new mothers, the elderly, the weak, and infants and young children, and is highly favored by consumers. “Yu County Tribute Rice was recognized as a Trusted Product by the China Consumers' Foundation in 1993.” (Zhangjiakou)
