Mingyue Mountain Hot Spring Tofu
Hot spring tofu is made using soybeans locally grown in Wentang. The best beans are those that are uniform in size, free of impurities, insect damage, or mold. In addition, the beans need to be soaked in selenium-rich hot spring water. This hot spring water is clear, colorless, tasteless, and odorless, and contains a variety of essential trace elements needed by the human body, such as selenium, metasilicic acid, lithium, strontium, calcium, and more. Clinical applications have shown that the selenium-rich hot springs of Wentang have certain therapeutic effects on cardiovascular diseases, rheumatism, arthritis, and other conditions. The makers of hot spring tofu say that it takes a total of eight processes for Mingyue Mountain selenium-rich tofu to be successfully produced. This kind of tofu has a very pleasant texture and is also very beneficial to human health.
