Nan'an Seaweed

　　Nan'an seaweed is a specialty of Nan'an City, Quanzhou, Fujian Province. Nan'an boasts abundant aquatic resources and a wide variety of algae, making it one of the main production areas for cultivated laver (Porphyra) in Fujian Province.

　　Seaweed has long been a traditional and major species in Nan'an's marine aquaculture. In recent years, the city has vigorously developed pollution-free seaweed farming, with cultivation area exceeding 10,000 mu, an annual output of over 550 tons, and contributing more than 2.2 million yuan in additional income to local farmers each year.
