Songcun, located about 10 li east of She County, is a beautiful village. In front of the village, a crystal-clear stream runs through it, while Feibu Mountain stands as a grand backdrop behind it. Due to the large diurnal temperature variation in the area, the grapes grown here are known for their excellent taste, high sugar content, and large, uniform berries, making them highly favored in the market. The village has over 2,000 mu of grape-growing land, making it the largest specialized grape-producing village in southern Anhui. The grapes produced here have captured markets across all districts and counties of Huangshan City and surrounding areas, and have even entered supermarkets, earning the village the well-deserved title of “the No. 1 Grape Village in Southern Anhui,” as well as the reputations of “Turpan of the South” and “Grape Valley of Huangshan.” To this end, Songcun has established a Grape Industry Association, which not only addresses issues related to planting and management techniques but also registered the “Songcun Brand Grapes” trademark to help farmers sell their produce. Now, over 2,000 mu of grapes have entered the harvest season, with plump, sweet grapes hanging abundantly from the vines, attracting many tourists to come and pick the fruit themselves. Spending a weekend with family and friends, heading to the orchard to pick fresh fruit by hand, and enjoying the cool summer under the grape trellises—picking fresh fruit yourself is truly a delight. For urban dwellers who yearn for nature and a pastoral lifestyle, it offers a unique and special experience.
