Product Introduction: Xinchang Xiaojingsheng, commonly known as Little Red-Haired Peanut, is best produced in the low loess terraces around areas such as Dashiju, Hongqi, Mengjiatang, and Xijiao in Xinchang County. Introduced from Beijing in the late Qing Dynasty, Xiaojingsheng peanuts became famous both domestically and internationally in the early Republican period. They feature a thin, glossy shell, aromatic and mildly sweet taste, rich yet not greasy, crispy and refreshing, with excellent color, aroma and flavor. Tests show that the kernels contain 27% protein and 48% fat, with nutritional value higher than that of eggs and milk. A local rhyme goes: “Eating Xiaojingsheng regularly is better than taking tonics; eating Xiaojingsheng makes you not crave meat every day.” In 1984, Xiaojingsheng ranked first in a national peanut taste evaluation. In 1990, Xinchang County and neighboring Shengxian County cultivated about 1,000 acres of Xiaojingsheng peanuts, yielding an annual production of 1,000 tons.
