Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd. is one of China’s 520 key industrial enterprises and among the first 151 national agricultural industrialization leading enterprises designated by eight state ministries. It was the sole designated dairy sponsor of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and the first Chinese food brand in history to provide products for the Olympics. As the only domestic enterprise among China’s major dairy companies, Yili has contributed over 7 billion yuan in taxes over the past decade, making it the top tax contributor in China’s dairy industry. On November 18, 2007, General Secretary - visited Yili for an inspection, offering high praise and expressing earnest expectations. Yili’s mission is “to continuously innovate and pursue a healthy life for humanity,” and its purpose is “scientific development, enriching agriculture and farmers, serving the nation, and benefiting the public.”

As a national industrial tourism demonstration site, Yili Group develops industrial tourism programs extensively, leveraging its headquarters industrial park and resources such as modern dairy production workshops, advanced production processes, pristine natural pastures, and profound corporate culture. Programs are offered at factories in Hohhot (Inner Mongolia), Beijing, Hefei (Anhui), Wuhan (Hubei), Huanggang (Hubei), Suzhou (Jiangsu), Jinan (Shandong), Shihezi (Xinjiang), Du'erbote (Heilongjiang), Shenyang (Liaoning), Foshan (Guangdong), and Qionglai (Sichuan). In China, industrial tourism has only gained prominence in recent years. To date, over 100 sites across the country have been designated as national industrial tourism demonstration sites by the National Tourism Administration. Since 2005, Yili Group has leveraged its industrial parks and resources such as the dairy production process, production techniques, production facilities, industrial heritage, and corporate culture to vigorously develop industrial tourism projects with significant market potential. In 2006, the Yili Industrial Park was recognized as a Hohhot municipal industrial tourism demonstration site.
