Sifang Mountain Tianchi
Sifang Mountain is located about 30 kilometers northwest of Nuomin Town in the Oroqen Autonomous Banner, south of the Bila River and west of the Nuomin River, atop a range of mountains at an elevation of 933 meters. The mountain top stretches over 500 meters from east to west and more than 300 meters from north to south, formed by volcanic eruptions.
On the mountain there is a natural lake formed by the accumulation of spring water and rainfall — “Tianchi” (Heavenly Lake). The water is emerald green and deep, surrounded by honeycomb-like reefs formed by cooled volcanic lava. Due to Sifang Mountain’s high elevation, the autonomous banner has built a fire watchtower on the mountain, which allows for the early detection of fires across a radius of hundreds of miles.
