Yihexuan is one of the central structures along the middle axis in the rear section of the Ning Shou Palace, located in the northeast corner of the Forbidden City. To its south lies the Le Shou Hall, and to its north stands the Jingqi Pavilion. A connecting corridor links Yihexuan and the pavilion, forming a traditional "I"-shaped palace complex.
