Dongfeng Space City

Introduction: Dongfeng Space City is located approximately 150 kilometers north of Dalaihubu Town, the seat of government of Ejin Banner in Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Dongfeng Space City is the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, also known as the 20th Test and Training Base of the General Equipment Department. It gained international fame following the successful launches of "Shenzhou V" and "Shenzhou VI." - The achievements of China’s first space city, Dongfeng Space City, which was personally inscribed by the General Secretary, include: launching China’s first ballistic missile using domestically produced fuel; successfully launching China’s first –; successfully launching China’s first artificial satellite; successfully deploying China’s first long-range carrier rocket; and successfully conducting China’s first multiple satellite launch test with one rocket… and more. The successful launches of "Shenzhou" spacecraft from No. 1 to No. 6 further added to the glory of the space city.
