Yellow River Hetao Cultural Tourism Area

The Yellow River Hetao Cultural Tourism Area is a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction.

The Yellow River Hetao Cultural Tourism Area is located in the upper and middle reaches of China’s Yellow River basin, on the north bank of the “Big Bend” (几-shaped curve) of the Yellow River, at the junction of Linhe District and Shuanghe District in Bayannur City. The scenic area began construction in 2012, was officially completed and opened to visitors in September 2013, and was rated as a National 4A-level Tourist Attraction in 2015. Centered around Bayannur City’s “Second Yellow River,” the Yellow River Hetao Cultural Tourism Area is distributed in a strip-like formation and has now become the city’s largest open wetland tourism area.

Currently, the northern part of the scenic area features tourist and recreational facilities such as Sai Shang Ming Zhu Square, Shui Yun Pavilion, Cultural Corridor, Yellow River Fishing Village, Children’s Playground, Mother Yellow River Sculpture, and Bamboo Willow Maze; the southern part includes attractions such as Mongolian Camp, Yellow River Square, Yellow River Water Conservancy Culture Museum, Farming Culture Park, Zou Xikou Folk Culture Village, Winery Pick-your-own Garden, Winery Holiday Cabins, and Winery Wharf.

The scenic area offers complete tourism supporting facilities including parking lots, visitor service centers, dining, and accommodation. With guide services, boat rides, and catering services, you’ll feel right at home. Visitors here can enjoy the natural scenery and cultural sculptures, visit the Yellow River Water Conservancy Culture Museum, experience agricultural picking, take boat or sheepskin raft tours along the riverbanks, or go sightseeing high above the entire scenic area in a sightseeing helicopter... When night falls, you can also ride the “Eye of Linhe” to take in the dazzling nightlife of Linhe District’s bustling streets.
