Langshan Reservoir Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national water conservancy scenic area.

Langshan Reservoir Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in Bayannur City and built around Langshan Reservoir. The scenic area spans 15.58 square kilometers, including a water surface area of 1.26 square kilometers, and is classified as a reservoir-type water conservancy scenic area.

Langshan Reservoir was built in 1975 with a total storage capacity of 33 million cubic meters and is a medium-sized reservoir primarily for flood control while also supporting irrigation. In recent years, the scenic area management has implemented engineering measures such as reservoir reinforcement, ecological restoration of the irrigation area, and cultural landscape enhancement, forming an extensive water network within the Hetao Irrigation District characterized by main drainage channels and comprehensive flood regulation and storage functions. By integrating water conservancy infrastructure with ethnic cultural elements, the area has developed a natural ecosystem encompassing various types including reservoirs, irrigation zones, biology, and landforms. Situated in the heart of the Urad Grassland, the scenic area features the vast northern grasslands set against the backdrop of the southern Yin Mountains, offering a rich Mongolian cultural atmosphere.
