Yali River Rafting is located 35 kilometers east of the county in Duheng Township. The Yali River flows gracefully out from the Chebaling National Nature Reserve, its waters clear and jade-like in their transparency. Lush green mountains line both banks, covered in dense forests, blooming wildflowers, and filled with birdsong. In May 1995, the People’s Government of Duheng Township developed it into a tourist destination—Yali River Rafting, which stretches 4 kilometers in length with a rafting duration of two and a half hours. A famous attraction, the Duheng Stone Bamboo Shoots, is located at the end of the rafting course. Rafting on the Yali River offers a carefree and relaxing experience, truly allowing visitors to feel the refreshing and enchanting charm of nature as described by the great poet Ouyang Xiu: “Wildflowers bloom with a subtle fragrance, fine trees flourish casting rich shade.” However, due to the construction of a hydropower station in the area, rafting has been canceled.
