Han Touling Tomb

The Han Touling Tomb is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Han Touling Tomb is located on the eastern slope of Han Touling in Shen suo Town, Shixing County, east of the Mo River. In 1985, two tombs were excavated—both rectangular vertical earthen pits with a layer of river pebbles laid at the bottom. Tomb No. 1 measures 1.9 meters in length and 0.9 meters in width, and contained five pottery items: a tube, a jar, a box, and a ding vessel. The shoulder of the tube features applied ridge decoration with incised symbols; the jar is adorned with fine string patterns and sawtooth motifs and covered with soy-sauce-colored glaze; the box also bears incised symbols. Tomb No. 2 measures between 2.1 to 2.3 meters in length and 1.3 meters in width, and yielded five items: bronze tools including an axe, a sword, and arrowheads, as well as a pottery cup. All these artifacts are common among Guangdong’s Warring States period relics.

Shen suo Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Shixing County. Established in 1993, it merged with Huashan Township in 2001. Located southwest of Shixing County’s urban area and along the lower reaches of the Mo River, it lies about 3 kilometers from the county seat. The Shen jiang Highway runs through the town and connects with National Highway 323, ensuring smooth transportation. The town administers 14 village committees. Attractions include the picturesque Pinghu Villa, the legendary Age Rock, the old revolutionary base Tongzhong Fortress, the former site of the Guangdong Provincial Committee known as “Red Wall,” and the iconic Shen suo Pagoda. Key industries include tea plantations, citrus farms, construction, and furniture manufacturing, while agriculture focuses on rice, peanuts, yellow tobacco, silkworm breeding, vegetables, and beans....
