The Chitu Ridge Tomb Cluster is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Chitu Ridge Tomb Cluster is located on the southeastern slope of Chitu Ridge in Taiping Town, Shixing County. In 1985, 75 rectangular and convex-shaped single-, double-, and triple-chambered tombs dating from the Jin to the Tang dynasties were excavated. A large number of bricks featuring geometric patterns and inscribed bricks bearing reign marks such as the second year of Jianyuan (344 AD), as well as surnames including Huang, Li, Qi, Xu, Tian, and Tan, were unearthed. Pottery items included four-eared jars, six-eared jars, cups, bowls, basins, pots, and three-legged inkstones; bronze items included halberds, mirrors, crossbow mechanisms, wuzhu coins, daquan dangqian coins, and kaiyuan tongbao coins; iron items included knives, fork-like tools, and ring-pommel broadswords; and other artifacts such as silver hairpins, glass beads, amber beads, talc pigs, and flat polished stone tools, totaling 216 items.

Taiping Town: As the seat of Shixing County’s government, Taiping Town is the political, economic, cultural, and transportation hub of the county, as well as a center for goods distribution. The town covers a total area of over 170 square kilometers, including 180,000 mu of forested land. It administers 16 villages and 4 community neighborhood committees, with a total population of 57,000. In 2000, it passed the provincial rural well-off standards assessment and was designated as one of the 268 central towns by the provincial government.
