Yulong Scenic Area

Introduction: Yulong Scenic Area is located in Buridun Township, Chaogewendu Sumu, Ongniud Banner, approximately 108 kilometers from Chifeng City. It gets its name from a jade carving of a coiled dragon, an artifact from the ancient Western Xia Dynasty that was unearthed here. The area is a tourist destination primarily known for its unique sand-lake natural landscape and Mongolian cultural charm. Within the scenic area, grasslands and deserts are interconnected, and within the desert lies a small lake. More than ten sandbars dot the lake, home to a variety of bird species. Under the watchful eyes of visitors, these birds sometimes soar into the sky and other times rest on knee-high grass. Activities such as swimming, boating, speedboating, riding personal motorboats, and birdwatching from the water can be enjoyed on the lake. The area also features traditional Mongolian yurts that offer accommodation. From June to October each year, the climate is pleasant, with blue skies and lush green grass, attracting many visitors. Transportation: You can hire a car from Wudan Town. The round-trip fare is 50 yuan, and the drive takes about half an hour.
