Wudun Mountain

Wudun Mountain is located southeast of Nanling Town, approximately 60 kilometers from the county seat of Zijin, bordering Luhe County. Its main peak stands at an elevation of 1,233 meters, making it the highest peak in Zijin County, and is about 15 kilometers from Nanling Town. Wudun Mountain comprises two peaks: Big Wudun and Small Wudun. The larger peak is round and majestic, while the smaller one is steep and elegant. It is the source of the Qinq River, an upper tributary of the Han River. During the Ming Dynasty, it served as a military garrison site known as "Niugudu." The mountain features scenic spots such as "Swinging Sword Rock," "Millstone Rock," "Crowing Chicken Rock," "Dog Head Rock," and "Candle Rock." A waterfall known as "Huamei Waterfall" can be found midway up the mountain. On clear days, visitors can watch the sunrise from the summit and enjoy panoramic views of the landscapes of Lufeng, Haifeng, and Huidong counties (cities).
