Jiuhe Hot Springs

Jiuhe Hot Springs are distributed along a nearly one-kilometer stretch of riverbank from Reshui Village to Xingfu Village in Jiuhe Town, featuring seven hot spring pools. The area boasts convenient transportation, a mild climate, lush green mountains, and picturesque scenery that captivates visitors. The waters of Jiuhe Hot Springs have been tested and analyzed by multiple technical departments, including Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences, China National Analytical Center (Guangzhou), and the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources. The water is classified as sodium bicarbonate-silicate type, with a temperature of 86 degrees Celsius. It gushes out at several thousand tons per day, sufficient for 1,500 people to bathe simultaneously. Rich in various trace elements beneficial to the human body, the springs can help prevent and treat skin diseases, athlete's foot, arthritis, obesity, and more. Soaking in the mineral-rich waters can enhance the body’s immunity and promote longevity. In 1988, the Press and Publication Administration collaborated with the Jiuhe Town government to build a hot spring sanatorium in Reshui Village.

The development of Jiuhe Hot Springs has attracted the attention of scientists. Professor Chen Chaokun from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences praised the springs by writing “The Number One Hot Spring Under Heaven.” Xu Chunwen, Dean of Guangxi Medical University, inscribed the words “Jiuhe Hot Springs, Nectar of the Human Realm.” After reviewing the water quality test report of Jiuhe Hot Springs, the renowned Chinese medical mineral spring expert Professor Chen Yanbing remarked in astonishment, “I’ve studied hot spring water my whole life, but I’ve never seen such high-quality mineral water.” To better develop and utilize the hot springs, the Jiuhe Town Party Committee and government built the “Jiuhe Hot Springs Resort” in November 1997, aiming to provide people with a means to improve health and achieve longevity through the premium-quality hot spring waters. The resort offers guest rooms, a restaurant, meeting rooms, a dance hall, and hot spring baths, and warmly welcomes domestic and international visitors to come and sightsee, travel, and vacation at Jiuhe Hot Springs.
