Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Zhongba, Zijin

Located in the town of Zhongba, Zijin County. The memorial hall commenced construction in October 2010, was completed and opened on May 29, 2011, with an investment of 7.6 million yuan. It covers an area of over 3,100 square meters and has a construction area of approximately 908 square meters. The building is a traditional-style structure with a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof, featuring a front porch with seven bays and eight pillars. The first floor houses a bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen and displays a sand table model centered around "Sunwu Pai," the ancestral settlement of Sun Yat-sen’s lineage in Guangdong. The second and third floors house exhibition halls that showcase the ancestral roots of Sun Yat-sen and historical materials about his life.

Sun Yat-sen (1866–1925), whose given name was Wen, courtesy name Zaizhi, also known as Rixin or Yixian, with the childhood name Dixiang and alias Zhongshan Qiao, commonly went by the name Zhongshan. He was born into a farming family in Cuiheng Village, Xiangshan County (now Zhongshan City), Guangdong Province. In his youth, influenced by the revolutionary traditions of the people of Guangdong, he admired the revolutionary cause of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.
