Qunfeng Ancient Village

Qunfeng Traditional Village is located in the southeastern part of Zijin County, Guangdong Province. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, it lies in a small basin nestled among rolling peaks. Blessed with favorable weather, the village enjoys bountiful harvests year after year, hence the name Qunfeng, meaning "Abundant Harvest." Legend has it that a feng shui master once wrote a poem praising Qunfeng as a geomantically auspicious land: “The deep toll of the evening drum echoes from Gaopeng Peak, at Longya Hollow the tiger crouches by the bell. Half the sky is veiled by the Three-Star Ridge, where wild geese fly through the clouds.” Qunfeng is the source of a tributary of the Han River, and within a radius of several dozen kilometers, there is no pollution from any factories. The villagers have made their living through farming for generations.

As the only ancient village in Zijin County, Guangdong Province, Qunfeng Ancient Village has been included in the fifth batch of China’s Traditional Villages. Transportation:

Travelers from cities in the Pearl River Delta such as Shenzhen, Dongguan, and Huizhou can take S14 Shan-Zhan Expressway toward Shantou, exit at Zijin East. Then follow Provincial Highway 242 toward Longwo and Shuidun. After about two kilometers, turn onto County Road 170 heading toward Shuidun. Drive approximately ten kilometers further to reach Qunfeng Ancient Village.
