The Liu Erzong Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism attraction and a patriotic education base.

The Liu Erzong Memorial Hall is located on Zhongshan Park Road, facing Zhongshan Park, at Guangchang Road, Anliang Neighborhood Committee, Zicheng Town, Zijin County.

Liu Erzong (1899–1927) joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1921. He once served as a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Secretary of the Work Committee of the CPC Guangdong-Guangxi Regional Committee, Chairman of the Guangzhou Workers’ Delegation, and Executive Committee Member of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. He was an early member of the Chinese Communist Party, a pioneer of the youth movement in Guangdong, and an outstanding leader of the workers’ movement in Guangdong. In April 1927, during the “April 15 Incident” in Guangzhou, Liu Erzong was unfortunately arrested. In the same month, he was executed at Bai’e Pool in the Pearl River.

In 1986, the People’s Government of Zijin County established the memorial hall in honor of Liu Erzong. It was renovated in April 2008. The memorial hall faces northeast and is a single-story, three-bay structure with a prominent central gatehouse, measuring 23.5 meters in width and 10 meters in depth. The gatehouse has two cylindrical columns, with yellow glazed tiles adorning the surrounding roof, granite stone walls, a front porch, and marble railings, giving it an antique appearance. The name of the hall was inscribed by Marshal Nie Rongzhen. Inside, the hall displays historical materials, photos, and revolutionary artifacts used by Liu Erzong during his lifetime, including early-model pistols and other items.

In March 1994, it was designated as a patriotic education base by the Zijin County Committee and County Government. In December 1995, it was designated as a patriotic education base by the Heyuan Municipal Committee and Municipal Government.
