The Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument and Tomb in the Old Soviet Area of Zijin County is a cultural relic protection unit of Zijin County, a classic red tourism attraction, and a patriotic education base.

The Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument and Tomb in the Old Soviet Area of Zijin County is located atop Huzi Mountain in Paozi Village, Soviet Area Town, Zijin County.

It was built in 1963 by the Zijin County Committee of the Communist Party of China to commemorate revolutionary martyrs, and was renovated in 1974 and 2009. Facing from southeast to northwest, it covers an area of 840 square meters. The monument is 8 meters tall and consists of a base, a pedestal, and the main body. The main body is made of concrete, surfaced with washed granite aggregate, and has a square top; the front features a raised relief inscription reading “Eternal Glory to Revolutionary Martyrs.” The pedestal is constructed from granite strips, with a commemorative inscription on the front and a quote from Marshal Xu Xiangqian on the back: “The best way to commemorate revolutionary martyrs is to study their revolutionary spirit, set lofty aspirations, forge grand plans, always be good students of Chairman Mao, and forever be the vanguard in striving for communism.” – Respectfully inscribed by Xu Xiangqian, December 20, 1963. Revolutionary quotes are inlaid on both sides. The base is surrounded by granite strips with sides measuring 12 meters. Behind the monument lies the martyrs’ tomb, which is made of concrete, has a round top, a diameter of 3.5 meters, and a height of 1.8 meters, with a pair of stone lions placed on either side.

In March 1987, it was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit by the Zijin County Government. In November 2010, it was announced as a patriotic education base by the Heyuan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. In June 2011, it was listed as a patriotic education base by the Publicity Department of the Guangdong Provincial Committee.
