The former site of the Red Army Hospital is a cultural relic protection unit of Zijin County, a classic red tourism attraction, and a patriotic education base.

The former site of the Red Army Hospital is located in Paozi Village, Suqu Town, Zijin County.

The Red Army Hospital was established in May 1928, with five wards and one makeshift operating table. It was set up by the then Soviet government to treat soldiers wounded in battle. At its peak, the hospital accommodated over 30 injured or ill soldiers at one time. In 1930, due to an incursion by - army forces, the hospital was relocated to the mountains of Yingpaishi and Meizikeng.

The original structure was a simple brick-and-tile building. It was rebuilt in 2011, with a floor area of over 100 square meters.

In March 2009, it was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit by the Zijin County Government. In January 2009, it was recognized as a patriotic education base by the Zijin County Party Committee and County Government. In November 2010, it was listed as a patriotic education base by the Heyuan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. In June 2011, it was designated as a patriotic education base by the Publicity Department of the Guangdong Provincial Committee.
