The Site of the Meeting of the 10th Regiment of the 4th Division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army is located at Gengtoudun, Pazhi Village, Suqu Town.
In December 1927, after the failure of the Guangzhou Uprising, over 1,000 insurgents who retreated to the Dongjiang area were reorganized in Huaxian County into the 4th Division of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army (abbreviated as the Red 4th Division). Ye Yong served as division commander, Song Xiangtao as deputy division commander, Yuan Yu as division chief of staff, commanding the 10th, 11th, and 12th regiments. The 10th Regiment was led by Commander Bai Xin and Political Commissar Xu Xiangqian. On January 1, 1928, the Red 4th Division captured Zijin County through a clever maneuver. On January 2, they arrived at Longwo and joined forces with the 5th Regiment of the Red 2nd Division. On January 3, they entered the Paizi Revolutionary Base in Zijin. On January 5, they held a public trial session together with the Red 2nd Division in Paizi. On January 8, they moved into Haifeng. Before entering Haifeng, the 10th Regiment of the Red 4th Division held a mobilization meeting here, where Xu Xiangqian delivered an important speech, urging all soldiers to study diligently, train hard, and prepare to strike the enemy at any time. Later, the Red 4th Division fought side by side with the Red 2nd Division in the Dongjiang region, engaging in armed struggle against the Kuomintang forces for a full year and three months.
The site is commonly known as Hongjunping (Red Army Flat), covering an area of over 100 square meters. A monument was erected in the center of the site in 1977 and was rebuilt in 2011.
In January 1977, it was designated as a cultural relic protection unit by the Zijin County Government. In January 1994, it was announced as a patriotic education base by the Zijin County Party Committee and County Government. In November 2010, it was recognized as a patriotic education base by the Heyuan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. In June 2011, it was listed as a patriotic education base by the Publicity Department of the Guangdong Provincial Committee.
