Former Site of the Soviet Government of Nanling Township

The former site of the Soviet Government of Nanling Township is a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Soviet Government of Nanling Township is located in Gaoxin Village, Nanling Town, Zijin County. The building covers an area of 370 square meters and is constructed with earthen walls and timber.

On January 13, 1928, to assist the Red Second Army in preparing for the takeover of Nanling, Zhong Peihuang, Zhong Muqi, and others founded the Soviet Government of Nanling Township at Jiuhuatang in the revolutionary base. On January 20, the Red Second Army successfully captured Nanling, and the Soviet Government of Nanling Township relocated to the ancestral hall of the Zhong family in Gaoxin Village, Nanling Township, to carry out its operations.

In April 2004, members of the Zhong family began renovating the site and constructed a 500-square-meter cultural plaza in front of it. The project was completed in October 2006, and the site is now well-preserved.
