Dongsheng Wai is located in Dongfeng Village, Ningxin Subdistrict, and was initially built during the Song Dynasty (1127) and completed in 1279, making it over 730 years old. Facing south and situated to the north, it is a three-hall, six-row, three-enclosure Weilongwu, and is the oldest Weilongwu in Xingning. Commonly known as the "Nine Halls and Eighteen Courtyards," the structure covers an area of 12,000 square meters, includes a pond of 1,600 square meters, and features a flower terrace of 650 square meters. Inside, there are nine halls, 18 courtyards, and more than 190 rooms. The entire complex is large in scale, well laid out, and semi-circular in shape, with a front courtyard, low wall, and a crescent-shaped pond. There is also an entrance gate on the east side, making it a typical Weilongwu. Outside the main gate, two round stone pillars support the eaves beam, along with two stone drums and two stone benches. The upper, middle, and lower halls are relatively spacious, with equal widths across all three. Behind the main hall lies a crescent-shaped flower terrace paved with river pebbles. The beams inside the halls are adorned with carved dragons and phoenixes, and there are ornamental carved screens, giving the space an elegant, classic feel full of Hakka charm.
