Chunzhi Building: Located in Lingjiaotang, Zhongxin Village, Huangpi Town, it was built during the Xianfeng reign of the Qing Dynasty by Ye Shihua (courtesy name Weitang), the 20th-generation descendant of the Ye family. The building faces south and is a two-hall, two-wing, one-enclosed dragon house. It has a front courtyard and a pond, covering a total area of 1,100 square meters. The main structure is 35.9 meters wide and 20 meters deep, with a construction area of 718 square meters. It features 4 halls, 14 rooms, and 3 courtyards. The corridor of the enclosed dragon house has 10 blue brick pillars and wooden railings. The roof of the dragon hall is particularly high without a decorative ridge. The height difference between the dragon house and the main hall is over 4 meters, with 28 steps on both sides of the main hall leading up to the dragon house. Both upper and lower halls are relatively small. The main gate and two smaller gates face different directions. The exterior walls show almost no right angles. The outer walls are built of stone, the lower parts of the inner walls are stone-built, while the upper sections are made of earthen bricks, wood, and tiles, featuring a flush-gable roof. This residence stands out among Hakka dwellings—its oval shape departs from the traditional semicircular enclosed house style. The builder cleverly utilized the terrain, combining traditional Hakka architectural elements with the mountainous landscape, resulting in a compact and aesthetically pleasing design.
