Shanshuwei

Shanshuwei is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Guangdong Province.

Shanshuwei, located in Shiziping Village, Luogang Town, Xingning City, was first built in the 10th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1884). It is a walled village complex consisting of four halls, four wings, and four corner towers, covering a total area of 4,390 square meters. The main structure is 74.1 meters wide and 49.1 meters deep, occupying a built-up area of 3,638 square meters. It includes 20 halls, 354 rooms, and 25 courtyards. In December 2009, it was designated as a key cultural heritage site at the Xingning City level, and in October 2012, it was upgraded to a provincial-level protected site in Guangdong Province.

On December 10, 2015, Shanshuwei was officially approved and announced by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province as part of the eighth batch of Guangdong Provincial Cultural Heritage Sites.
