Yitang Reservoir is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

Wuhua County’s Yitang Reservoir is located in Zhuanshui Town, Wuhua County, with a total storage capacity of 165 million cubic meters, classifying it as a large (Class II) reservoir. The Yitang Scenic Area is the largest lychee cultivation base in Meizhou City. The area features attractions such as the “Yitang Temple,” inscribed by Ye Xuanping, as well as Yitang lakeside tours, fresh fruit tasting on Gushan Island, fishing grounds, and hunting grounds.

The Yitang Scenic Area enjoys the fragrance of seasonal fruits all year round. It grows a variety of fruits including oranges, mandarins, lychees, pomelos, and plums, allowing visitors to taste fresh produce in every season. During harvest times, tourists can visit the orchards in person to witness the bountiful sight of fruits hanging from the branches.

Zhuanshui Town: Covering an area of 158.5 square kilometers, Zhuanshui Town in Wuhua County administers 21 villages and one neighborhood committee, with a total population of over 61,300. It is a renowned hometown of overseas Chinese and a famous place for red yeast rice production. Located between Huacheng and the county seat Shuizhai, Zhuanshui Town is traversed from east to west by Provincial Highway S228 (Shuihua Line) and County Road S120 (Shuitan Line). The Heyuan–Meizhou Expressway passes through Zhuanshui and has an interchange here, providing convenient transportation. The town boasts abundant water and tourism resources.
