The Tomb on Xiongji Bayi Mountain is located on the southern slope of Xiongji Bayi Mountain in Luocheng Village, Mianyang Town, Wuhua County. It dates back to the early Warring States period and was discovered in 1984. On-site investigation revealed that it is an earthen pit tomb, though its exact dimensions are unknown. Eight pottery items were unearthed, including jars, pots, small jars, spouted ewers, bowls, basins, and small bowls. Among them, the jar has a drooping belly and a flat round base, decorated with a combination of mat-pattern and checkered patterns; the pot has a drooping belly and a round base, decorated with a combination of kui-dragon motifs and checkered patterns; the other items all have flat bases, with the small jar featuring only checkered patterns on the lower belly. This indicates that flat-based vessels were already in vogue at the time, although stamped composite patterns had not yet disappeared.
