Changtan Tourist Resort is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Changtan tourist destination is located in the northwest of Baima Village, Changtan Town, north of Jiaocheng. It is one of the "Top 100 Scenic Spots of Southern Guangdong" and a renowned tourist attraction. Surrounded by mountains and dikes, with vast stretches of green water, it boasts eight scenic highlights celebrated across three provinces. Its mountains resemble the Wu Gorge, its waters echo the beauty of Xiaoxiang, and its vistas mirror those of the Li River—each step offers a new view, rich in picturesque charm.

Here, rugged peaks rise abruptly, cliffs hang suspended, and the emerald waters between two green mountains rush into the Shikou River, then cascade into the Meijiang River, eventually joining the Han River. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, and the "Changtan Moonlit Night" is one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Jiaoling. Other designated highlights within Changtan include the "One-Line Sky," "Twin Gates," "Ermagu Mountain," "Dripping Rock Cave," "High Platform Nunnery," "Floating Moon over Water" (referring to the Changtan Moonlit Night), "Tianma Mountain," "Danjiu Shrine," and "Grandmother Carrying Granddaughter."

Changtan Tourist Resort is about 5 kilometers from Jiaoling County town, covering an area of 20.5 square kilometers. It lies at the junction of Fujian, Guangdong, and Jiangxi provinces. With its stretch of emerald waters and undulating green mountains on either side, it has been described as "resembling the Wu Gorge in form and the Li River in scenery." In the early 1960s, the beauty of Changtan was featured on the covers of both People's Pictorial and Guangdong Pictorial. Since then, its fame has spread far and wide, attracting hundreds of thousands of domestic and international tourists every year who come to revel in its splendor and linger endlessly.

Changtan features expansive waters, with a dam turning the flow into an artificial lake that holds 160 million cubic meters of water. The lake extends 20 kilometers to Pingyuan’s Putan in the west and Xiaba Town in Fujian Province. A variety of water-based recreational activities are available on the lake, such as rowing, swimming, and fishing, offering visitors abundant enjoyment.

The resort area boasts many captivating natural and cultural attractions. These include the Min-Guang-Jiang Sakyamuni Cultural Center, the One-Line Sky, the Majestic Dam, the Changtan Moonlit Night, the High Platform Nunnery, and the Penglai Fairyland. There are also entertainment and accommodation options such as Huaxin Water Park, Xingshengtai Hotel, Changtan Grand Hotel, Australia Villa, Pengcheng Entertainment City, and Xinxin Entertainment City.

Baima Village: Located in Jiaoling County, Meizhou City, Baima Village lies west of the Shikou River. The village administers 22 villager groups, with 603 registered households and a population of 2,269. It covers a total area of 3.26 square kilometers, including 1,510 mu of arable land. The average annual temperature is 21°C, with annual rainfall of approximately 1,700 mm, featuring a subtropical monsoon climate. Major cash crops include Shatian pomelo and rice.
