Jiuling Village

Jiuling Village is located in the southern part of Sanzhen Town and is the first revolutionary base area in Jiaoling County to establish a Party branch. Surrounded by water on three sides, with mountains embracing the rice paddies beyond, the area enjoys convenient farming conditions. The main cash crops grown here include bananas, Chinese yam, vegetables, and lotus roots.

Sanzhen Town is known as the “Land of Fish and Rice,” and Jiuling Village is a village within this land of abundance. It is among the first group of longevity villages in Jiaoling County, as well as a model village for beautiful countryside development. The village has 602 households and a population of 2,148, with seniors aged 60 and above accounting for 21.5% of the population. The oldest resident is 108 years old, and there are three centenarians; there are also 15 residents aged over 90.

The longevity of the villagers stems from the area’s purely agricultural lifestyle, free from any industrial pollution. The skies are blue and the waters are clear. It is also a vegetable production base, as well as a cultivation hub for thousands of acres of Chinese yam, dendrobium, and pickled vegetables. The area enjoys an abundant supply of fruits and vegetables, and nowadays, its pristine production environment is an even greater asset. In addition to building ecological mini-parks in various natural villages, efforts have been made to develop attractions such as the Longevity Park, Jiangxia Park, Hakka Cultural Exhibition Area, Recreational Fishing Zone, Hakka Farming Culture Art Corridor, Colorful Flower Embankment, Longevity Food Picking Area, and the Ten-Li Lotus Pond.
