Xiahuang Huang Clan Ancestral Hall is a cultural heritage site protected by Jiaoling County.

Xiahuang Huang Clan Ancestral Hall is located in Beijiao Village, Jiaocheng Town, Jiaoling County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it was renovated in 1998 and 2007. The building faces south and is oriented north. It is composed of a front courtyard, main hall, decorative ridge, encircling dragon structure, and wing rooms, featuring a layout of four halls, six wings, and three encircling dragons. There is a single entrance with five bays, a total width of 91.5 meters, a total depth of 98.3 meters, a total of 158 rooms, covering an area of approximately 8,994 square meters, with a built-up area of about 7,988 square meters. The roof is hung with overhanging gables, covered with gray tiles, and the walls are constructed from a mixture of sand, lime, and stone, with simple wooden brackets. The main façade has a concave belly shape, with a main door framed in bluestone slabs, inscribed with “Huang Clan Ancestral Hall” at the top. The fourth hall features circular bluestone pillars supporting a screen wall. The left and right corridors between the fourth and third halls are symmetrical, with a spacious central courtyard. The third hall is an open hall, one step higher than the fourth, supported by multiple circular bluestone pillars. The corridor between the third and second halls is also symmetrical, with a wide central courtyard. The second hall is an open hall, one step higher than the third, supported by multiple bluestone pillars and featuring a post-and-lintel wooden beam structure. Between the second and first halls, the corridors are symmetrical with post-and-lintel beams, and the central courtyard is smaller. The first hall is one step higher than the second, featuring a shrine constructed with stone bases, wooden pillars, and wooden screens, enshrining the ancestral tablets of the Huang clan. The decorative ridge is relatively flat and broad, with a semi-circular enclosure wall at the back. Three rows of encircling dragon structures form a crescent shape, surrounding the main hall and wing rooms. This building is relatively large in scale, featuring a corridor-style residential structure, combining ancestral hall and living spaces. It holds certain value for understanding and studying the harmonious communal living style of local Hakka people. In 2014, it was approved by the Jiaoling County People's Government as a sixth-batch county-level cultural heritage protection unit.
