Aohan Banner Museum

The Aohan Banner Museum is located on the north side of Huiwen Square in Xinhui Town, covering a usable area of 3,000 square meters. The museum currently houses a collection of over 5,000 cultural relics and more than 10 tons of specimen relics

Over 10 tons, including 112 national first-grade relics, over 400 second- and third-grade relics, and more than 100 relics classified as nationally precious. It is an outstanding national patriotic education base,

The museum has an exhibition area of 2,000 square meters, divided into five exhibition halls: The first and second halls feature the "Prehistoric and General History Exhibition," mainly showcasing the Xiaohexi Culture (9,000 years ago), Xinglongwa Culture (8,000 years ago), Zhaobaogou Culture (7,000 years ago), and Xiaoheyan Culture (5,000 years ago). The third exhibition hall presents the "Eight-Thousand-Year-Old Primitive Settlement," reconstructing the hunting, fishing, and farming life scenes of the Xinglongwa people based on archaeological data. The fourth exhibition hall is the "Liao Dynasty Scenery Depicted in Brushes," displaying 50 authentic murals from Liao tombs. The fifth exhibition hall, "Imperial Winds on Horseback," exhibits over 100 cultural relics from the Liao, Jin, and Yuan dynasties, recreating the grandeur of the Khitan Empire and the brilliance of the Mongol-Yuan Empire.

Among the numerous ancient cultural sites, four archaeological culture types named after Aohan Banner—Xiaohexi, Xinglongwa, Zhaobaogou, and Xiaoheyan—have filled gaps in the chronology of archaeology in northern China and pushed the history of China's Neolithic Age forward by 2,000 to 3,000 years. The "Xinglongwa Site," with its grand settlement layout, has been hailed by experts and scholars as the "First Village of China." Among the many world-famous relics unearthed, there is the world's earliest jade ? (artifact type unspecified), and the only complete set of "Hu People Music and Dance Pattern Jade Belt ?" (artifact type unspecified) preserved in China to date, which scholars have called the "Crown of Chinese Jade Belts." These important sites and precious unearthed relics showcase 8,000 years of development—from the birth of ancient state civilizations, to the growth of feudal state civilizations, and the flourishing of imperial civilizations.

Xinhui Town: Xinhui Town is the seat of the Aohan Banner People's Government and serves as the political, economic, cultural, and information hub of the entire banner. It governs 6 community neighborhood committees and 37 administrative villages, with a total population of 98,500, including 38,000 urban residents. The town covers a land area of 886.3 square kilometers, with 244,000 mu of arable land, 600,000 mu of forested area, 97,200 mu of artificially planted grassland, and an urban area spanning 7.8 square kilometers.

In recent years, Xinhui Town has adhered to an animal husbandry development strategy focused on planting for breeding and farming for animal raising.
