The former site of Songjiang Grand Hotel is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Guangdong Province.

The former site of Songjiang Grand Hotel is located in Fanrong Neighborhood Committee, Songkou Town, Meixian District. With a history of over 80 years, the Songjiang Grand Hotel was built in the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932) by Mr. Liao Zijun from Dahuang Village, Songkou. It is a five-story building that blends Chinese and Western architectural styles. Thanks to its prime location and timing, it was once one of the most famous hotels in the Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi region. Countless overseas Chinese from the Hakka community would stay at the Songjiang Grand Hotel overnight when traveling from Songkou’s steamship dock down to Shantou and then on to Southeast Asia, or returning home from abroad to visit family. As such, it served as the first stop for many leaving their homeland and the landing place for those returning in glory, bearing witness to numerous partings and reunions filled with joy and sorrow.
