The Ancient Gu's Western-style Building in Liantang Village is a cultural heritage site protected at the Guangdong Provincial level.

The Ancient Gu's Western-style Building in Liantang Village is located in Chengdong Town, Meixian District. The Zhuguantang area here was once the homeland of the Lian family. In front of the house lies a large pond adorned with swaying lotus leaves, a water expanse where lotuses bloom vibrantly. Although over time and through the vicissitudes of life, the Lian family has moved elsewhere, the residents of the Gu and Ye families who still live here continue to call the village Liantang.

Not far to the southwest of Shude Building, a structure with a Southeast Asian architectural style stands beside a mountain stream, adjacent to another traditional enclosed building. The house was built by overseas Chinese brothers surnamed Gu from Myanmar.

The Ancient Gu's Western-style Building in Liantang Village was built in 1919, facing east and situated westward. It features a fusion of Chinese and Western styles, in the form of a combined corridor with a covered walkway. The building has an overall width of 27.65 meters, a depth of 30.85 meters, and covers an area of approximately 1,000 square meters. It has a double-tiled roof with a hip-and-gable roof design. The main façade includes a connected arch-style gateway. The left and right side facades feature colonnaded verandas with glazed windows and railings. The building has a dual-axis layout. Along the east-west axis, there are three halls, while along the north-south axis, there are upper and lower halls. The second floor is built with a post-and-lintel construction style.

In 2015, it was designated as a Guangdong Provincial Cultural Heritage Site by the People's Government of Guangdong Province.

The village administers 7 villager groups, with 233 registered households and a population of 995. The total area of the village is 4.84 square kilometers, including 910 acres of arable land. The annual average temperature is 23°C, and the annual rainfall is about 1,400 mm. The climate is characterized by abundant rainfall, mild temperatures, ample sunshine, and a long frost-free period.
