The Songkou Fireboat Wharf is a Meizhou Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

The Songkou Fireboat Wharf is located in Songkou Town, Meixian District, Meizhou City. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient structure.

On November 28, 2017, the People's Government of Meizhou City designated the Songkou Fireboat Wharf as part of the Sixth Batch of Meizhou Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Units.

Songkou Town: Situated in the northeastern part of Meixian District, along the lower reaches of the Meijiang River, Songkou Town is a small basin nestled between mountains and water. After the merger of Songkou, Songdong, and Songnan towns, it became the largest town in Meixian District. The town has a total of 41 village committees and 5 neighborhood committees, with a population of over 69,000 and covers an area of 328.6 square kilometers. It enjoys a prime geographical location with convenient land and water transportation. The Meikan Railway, Provincial Highways S223 and S332, and the national defense highway from Baibu in Meixian to Sanheba in Dapu all pass through the town, making it an important commercial hub for surrounding villages and towns.
