Swan Lake Grassland Wetland Migratory Bird Viewing Ecotourism Area
The Swan Lake Grassland Wetland Migratory Bird Viewing Ecotourism Area is a volcanic barrier lake formed when lava flows from the eruption of the Chahar Volcano Group blocked river valleys or riverbeds, creating reservoirs. It earned its name because hundreds or even thousands of swans stay here during spring and autumn each year. The unique environment and special microclimate have shaped the grassland wetland landscape around Swan Lake.
