Tarnów

Tarnów is located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in southeastern Poland. Established in 1330, it is now an important industrial city in Poland and is known as the “Tuscany of Poland.” This city is the warmest in Poland and enjoys the longest summer season, lasting from May to September.

Tarnów offers a wealth of tourist attractions and destinations, and its Old Town is definitely worth a visit. As the main entertainment district, it’s also an ideal place to admire Renaissance-style architecture. Visitors can explore the 14th-century Tarnów Town Hall, the oldest rental residential building in Tarnów, the ruins of the Tarnowski family castle, the synagogue, the city walls dating back to the 14th–16th centuries, the elegant municipal park, a cemetery from the late 18th century, and a Jewish cemetery with a history tracing back to 1583. The solemn and sacred Tarnów Cathedral is home to some of the best-preserved Renaissance and Mannerist tombs in Poland—don’t miss it.
