Nowy Sącz is a town in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in southern Poland, located in the Kamienica River basin. Founded in 1292, it has a history of over 700 years. Surrounded by mountains, the city is one of the most picturesque places in Poland and is known for its therapeutic water sources, fresh air, and endless scenic beauty.

The market square of Nowy Sącz is one of the largest in Europe and the second-largest in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, after Kraków, measuring 160 meters long, 120 meters wide, and covering approximately 19,200 square meters. The Nowy Sącz Town Hall was built between 1895 and 1897 and is a representative example of the fusion of Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque architectural styles. The Kowalska Tower is part of the ruins of a 14th-century castle; the Old Synagogue from 1746 is a notable religious building that now operates as a museum. Churches are also striking architectural features of the city, including St. Helen's Church, St. Roch's Church, St. Elizabeth's Church, St. Casimir's Church, Holy Cross Church, and St. Margaret's Church.

The nearby mountains are also popular tourist destinations, particularly appealing to hikers and skiers. Among them, the Beskid Sądecki range, with its highest peak reaching 1,262 meters, is the tallest in the region.
