Sucha Beskidzka

Sucha Beskidzka is a town in southern Poland, located 44 kilometers from the capital Kraków. It is governed by the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and was founded in 1405. The town lies in a basin near the Beskid Mountains, situated along the Skawa River, which gives it beautiful natural scenery.

Since the early 20th century, Sucha Beskidzka has become a tourist hub for the Beskid Mountains. The area offers numerous trails leading into the mountains, making it a favorite spot for hikers. The town center also features several historic buildings, including a Renaissance-style castle from the 16th century, a church with a cloister dating back to the 17th century, and a wooden inn that dates to the 18th century. The Sucha Beskidzka Town Museum is housed in the ancient Sucha Castle (Castle Sucha), and features a rich collection of exhibits including oil paintings, sculptures, archives, and photographs that tell the history of the town.
