Burrell Collection

Introduction The Burrell Collection is a popular tourist attraction in Glasgow. It was originally the private collection of industrial magnate Sir William Burrell, which he donated to the city of Glasgow. It is now housed in an award-winning museum located within Pollok Country Park.

The exterior of the collection may be unassuming, but the interior design is just right. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to flood in, and the trees and scenery outside enhance the effect of the exhibits. This uniquely personal collection includes Chinese porcelain, medieval furniture, and oil paintings by artists Renoir and Cézanne.
