Lightwater Valley Theme Park is located near the village of North Stainley in North Yorkshire, England. It opened to visitors in the summer of 1969 and covers an area of 175 acres. The park evolved from a small farm attraction and was established by Robert Staveley. It now attracts an average of 325,000 visitors annually.

Lightwater Valley Theme Park currently features over 40 rides catering to thrill-seekers of all ages, including five roller coasters and two water rides. Among them, the most famous is The Ultimate, the longest roller coaster in Europe. Many visitors come specifically for “The Ultimate” to experience its unique thrill of heart-pounding excitement, weightlessness, and sheer adrenaline. In addition, the park also houses a bird of prey training center, where guests can observe how these impressive raptors are trained. Nearby, Lightwater Shopping Village offers a variety of facilities and retail outlets, along with well-rated restaurants and cafes for visitors to enjoy.
