St. Peter's Church, Zurich

St. Peter's Church is the oldest church in Zurich. Its church tower clock, built in 1534, features Europe’s largest church clock face, with a diameter of 8.7 meters. The hour hand is 3 meters long and the minute hand is 4 meters long. This church tower was used for fire surveillance. It is said that when a fire broke out, someone would raise a flag in the direction of the fire to indicate the location to firefighters.
