Kunsthaus Zürich is located in the old town district of Zurich. Established in 1787, this art museum has a long history and is renowned for its extensive collection of Western paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries, especially works of Impressionism and Dada art. The museum houses a significant number of works by Swiss artists, such as Alberto Giacometti, Ferdinand Hodler, and Arnold Böcklin. In addition, it also boasts a rich collection of modern paintings. The gallery regularly exhibits masterpieces and sculptures by renowned artists such as Picasso, Monet, Edvard Munch, Henri Matisse, Paul Cézanne, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Auguste Rodin.

Kunsthaus Zürich is one of the most important art museums in Switzerland and Europe. Rodin’s famous sculpture, The Gates of Hell, is located right at the museum’s entrance. The collection also includes a rich array of photographs and prints. The sculpture section is dominated by works from Expressionist artist Giacometti. The museum holds a considerable number of Munch’s works, making it the largest collection of his art outside of the Scandinavian peninsula. There is also an abundant collection of Chagall’s works, with a whole exhibition room dedicated to them. Additionally, there is a dedicated gallery for Dadaist artworks.
