Wädenswil

Wädenswil is a town in northern Switzerland, administered by the canton of Zurich. It is situated on the left bank of Lake Zurich and is a renowned industrial town that also houses the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

Due to its location near Lake Zurich, several ponds have formed here, making it a prime tourism and entertainment destination that offers visitors convenient options for recreation. St. Anne's Church, situated on Wädenswil Hill, is a widely celebrated wedding church in the area, where many couples choose to hold their ceremonies and have their love blessed by the divine. St. Mary’s Church was built between 1896 and 1897 in the Romanesque Revival architectural style. Its main entrance was restored in 1959, and the church’s striking crucifix is particularly noteworthy. The Wädenswil Reformed Church is one of Switzerland’s most significant Protestant churches, designed in Baroque style. It stands 12 meters tall, accommodates over 1,300 seats, and features a Rococo-style central ceiling and pulpit.
