Aircraft bunkers

The aircraft bunkers are located on a relatively open hilly area in Haoren Sumu, Horqin Right Front Banner. Nine slightly semi-elliptical Japanese military aircraft bunkers follow the contours of the hills and stand in a row, nestled here. Built in 1944, these bunkers are made of reinforced concrete, with diameters of about 5 to 6 meters. They present an imposing formation, though some are now damaged. Their unique shapes and sturdy construction attract the attention of passersby. Having stood for over half a century, these bunkers have become one of the remnants of Japanese aggression in China scattered across Inner Mongolia, as if silently recounting that period of history that remains deeply engraved in the nation’s memory.
